Treating infants and children requires specialised training, techniques, and equipment. This course covers the management of cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies, and shock in paediatric victims.
Nursing staff, Intermediate and Basic Life Support Paramedics, as well as final year students in paeds specialisation discipline can attend the course.
A valid AHA BLS or Resus Council CPR for Professionals Certificate pre-entry requirement
Theory assessment:
obtain a score of at least 84% in the final written evaluation.
Practical assessment:
For successful completion of the course, participants will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in CPR and AED use.
SA Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa endorsed course completion certificate is issued to successful candidates.
